Tony Rondow - Male Player
Victoria Horseshoe Club
2022 Inductee

Exeptional Player
Tony use to practice everyday when he was single throwing up to 250 shoes a day. The practice paid off with him winning 5 BC championships in the Men's A class, 2005,6,7,8,11 along with 3 second places and 3 third places over the years.
Tony has also finished first at the BC International Highwaymen tournament 5 times along with 2 seconds and a third.

But one of Tony’s biggest accomplishments was at the Canadian Championship in 2008 finishing 2nd place. the year prior he had the High game record in the Canadians in 2007 at 83.3%

Tony had some great teachers along the way, with the likes of Murray Raynor, Lou Busch, Wilf, Ruby, and Jerry Melissa. But the time practicing has always been his reason for his success and the drive to get better.

Tony has loved the game always watching, learning and finding out about other players and tournaments near and far. He is very knowledgeable in the sport and has taught his son Anthony to play and follow in his footsteps winning BC titles.

With health issues and family timing with kids in sports and other activities Tony doesn’t get to practice or play as much but still loves the sport and looks for any opportunity to play in a tournament.
Tony is well recognized on Vancouver Island and BC as one of the great players of this game we love Horseshoes.
